ROADTRIP (June 11-17), Part 3

We drove through the rest of Nebraska, all through Wyoming (which has awesome Flintstone type rocks), when we passed through Cheyenne it reminded me of TWBFL (The World Bikini Football League www.twbfl.com), my friend Ashley is the Captain of the Cheyenne Tetons.

We drove all the way through Wyoming and decided to crash in Utah, Mormonville.  We stayed in Salt Lake City, which made me chuckle because my first flight was through Salt Lake, and then on to Midway in Chicago, I told J he should have just picked me up in Salt Lake.   We stayed in a nice hotel off of the freeway (again we had a million to choose from).  J decided on a hotel and we stayed.  I hate having a room on ground level (like our first hotel, it freaks me out, I do not feel safe), but I felt pretty safe in this hotel and area.  We had a huge California King size bed (oh so nice), and we crashed like babies.

We woke up to the wonderful sound of the housekeepers knocking at our door at 8am, wtf!  Why, when checkout is not until noon would you knock on the residents doors that early in the morning?  We were both still in bed, so J yelled “NO THANK YOU” and we laid in bed contemplating if we should get up and go eat the free continental breakfast that ended at 9:30.  We laid there a little longer and decided maybe we should eat (although I was totally not hungry).  They had the average food that most hotels have for continental breakfasts; waffle iron (where the waffles ALWAYS stick), fruit, bread, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, OJ, milk, etc.  As J was getting his waffle out, a strange man walked into the hotel and was standing right behind J telling him to hurry up.  A few minutes later we hear this man talking to the breakfast lady, flirting with her and giving her a $5 tip.  He told her he does not stay at this hotel, but comes in every morning for their free breakfast (and he was yelling at J to hurry up?! Someone kick this guy out).  As we are walking back to our hotel room, we decide to go for a swim, and even before that do a small workout in their exercise room.  J must take advantage of all the free things that come with the hotel or he feels cheated, I just laugh.

It is fun hanging out with J, you never know what is going to happen, he is spontaneous and fun, I love him, he brings out a side of me that I never show people.  I think because I am more reserved, but I like this laid back, fun side and I want it to come out more often…  We make up a perfect pair; we both have things the other needs in life, so it all works out.

We head out of Mormonville and on our way out of Utah, we see white everywhere!  J and I start to question if Salt Lake City is called Salt Lake because of all the salt in the water; we are assuming that is why the ground is covered in white, because it is not snow.  We doubt it is white sand either…. That reminds me, I still need to look that up.  We tried to google it on our phones, but nothing of what we were questioning would pull up.
