Bellevue ReporterBellevue ReporterMy bff came over Wednesday afternoon so that we could gather the last few items needed for our long Seattle weekend. We ran over to Michael’s to get numbers for our team uniforms, Sports Authority and scored some awesome new football cleats – love the grip and finally to dinner at Outback Steakhouse.

As our waitress came over to ask us what we wanted to drink, my bff begged me to order something alcoholic, but she knows that I cannot drink (I am allergic, no really).  While I ordered water she made fun of me, ordered a drink and joked to the waitress that I was pregnant.  Instead of me correcting her, we just played along and the waitress kept bringing us tons of their specialty appetizer bread (love it) and more chocolate milk. We laughed every time she came by because she had no clue that we were joking, I have to admit at first it was kind of annoying (because my bff knows I cannot drink, just like I know she always has to drive or she’ll get car sick), then I thought it was funny, and then I thought once more that it was annoying (but only because she tried it again at other restaurants, and by the 2nd and 3rd time it was no longer funny, it was insulting).

I noticed it was almost midnight just as we were finishing up on our uniform numbers for bikini football, and since we had to wake up at 3am to leave to the airport, it seemed like a good time to start thinking about going to bed.  We made sure everything was packed (especially all of our bikini football gear, dresses for The Taken premiere and workout clothes for football practice) and passed out. Three am came way too soon; we both could barely open our eyes.

We dropped my bff’s car off at the airport parking and not much longer after arriving to LAX we boarded our flight to Seattle (yay, Standby was not as bad as I thought, we got right on AND we were able to sit next to each other).  We landed in Seattle around 9 in the morning and our wonderful coach Ryan picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at my mom’s car (she was going to let us borrow it instead of renting one for the weekend).  My grandma had just arrived back from England (she was visiting her brothers and sisters) and gave me a TON of English candy, more than I could eat.

My bff drove us to my dad’s house so that we could put our stuff down and relax for a minute before having to leave to go see my old nanny family (I felt bad for my bff, it was almost a weekend about me and not her, but not on purpose).  I forgot how much I loved my bed there!  It is the most comfortable bed in the world, oh how I miss it!  If my boyfriend and I get married, than I totally want to steal it!

It did not feel like we were at my dad’s long before having to take off to go see my nanny family.  I was excited to see them, but exhausted at the same time.  As soon as I saw Luke, he ran up to me and I almost started to cry – I missed him more than I realized.  I was happy to see Heather, Emma, Cora, Mera and Steve as well!  Luke was quick to show me his new toys, and fell right back into his old ways of playing with my iPhone.  He also showed me that he is now fully potty trained, so proud!  Soon Emma woke up and I got to get her from her crib, wow, she is so precious now and the most beautiful blue eyes. Heather and Steve made us all some dinner, my bff and I tried not to eat too much because we had a practice soon after at Celebration park.

Ryan and Kelyn and Luke and Steve joined me and my bff at Celebration Park for practice.  This was mine and my bff’s first time actually practicing with Kelyn, so that was exciting. I was sad to see Luke and Steve go, but I knew we needed to get an actual practice in.  Not even five minutes into practice, this man who for some reason thinks he is best friends with me, when really he feels more like a stalker, came to my practice (he had read about it on someone else’s Facebook – wow!).  He then tried to talk to me and my team, but I just kept to myself and jogged to the end of the field to warm up.  I am sorry, but if you think you are my friend because you memorized every single detail about me/my life and recited it to me the second time that I met you (I did not even remember your name) and then asked me to sleep with you a few months later when I obviously have no interest, your married, I’m in a serious relationship and I am 100% not attracted to you and then seem to keep stalking me… not cool (or for Rick and Jess – RED FLAG).  He finally left practice and I once again DELETED him from my Facebook – creep.

Christine and I left practice exhausted and Ryan left feeling like we actually got somewhere for once.  Sadly, Friday brought no sleeping in for us due to an early practice in Seattle.  It would have been worth it if more girls showed, but once again, it was just me, Christine (my bff) and Kelyn (and of course Ryan).  We went over the plays we had done the night before, we were solid!  We ended practice early since Christine’s arm was feeling the burn from throwing and my legs from sprinting.  We drove to Bellevue to meet one of my favorite filmmakers, Joriah.  He showed us his next script for Botswana, USA and gave Christine her makeup that she accidently left while filming at his place.  Next, off to a park in Bellevue for an interview with the Bellevue reporter, but first on the way we had a radio interview with KRKO am sports radio for our TWBFL live game in Bellingham on Sunday and then one more radio interview after our Bellevue interview.

By the time we were finished with all our interviews, Christine and I were both so tired that we decided to cancel our BBQ that we had planned so that we could actually relax for a minute.  About a half hour after we got back to my dad’s house, Jessica (another teammate) came over and we all decided to head out to dinner at The Rock in Covington.  We called Ryan to have him meet us there, since we cancelled the BBQ on him. Still dressed in our practice gear, with icy hot pads on our arms and legs we head in to The Rock for some yummy food and my favorite Brown Sugar breadsticks.

Our waiter was trying way too hard to impress the three of us girls and then when Ryan came the waiter tried to become buddy-buddy with him as well, awkward.  He kept running over to our table when we would burst into laughter asking what he just missed, playing air drums to almost every song that came on and then calling himself a “tool” many times throughout the night (actually pretty damn funny).  We laughed about our waiter, about all the songs from “Incredibad” and discussed how we were going to make a parody of “I’m On a Boat”.  What a great weekend thus far!
