Busy, Busy Day

Goooooood Morning!   My goal was to wake up at 7am (haha), why do I do that to myself?  It is so crazy, I used to be a morning person in Washington, getting up between 5-6am on a daily basis and go to bed by 10-11pm each night.  Here I get up between 8-10am, but I do not go to bed until around 2am.  I think it is because my bed is super comfy making me not want to say goodbye, but then again, so was my bed back home.  Must be the job!  Back in Seattle I was a nanny and had to be at work by 7:30-8am, here, I make my own hours.

Mmmmmm, coffee.

On a good note – I found mine and J’s wedding song!  He told me that we could not get married until we find a wedding song, so since then, we both have been checking out songs, trying to figure out which suits us best.  Found it – thanks to the “He’s Just Not That into You” soundtrack.  When I first saw that movie I was in love with this certain song, but I had no idea who sang it, now I do and I ordered the soundtrack, and his CD!  Are you read for who – James (not Van, James) Morrison.  The song is called: You Make it Real.  Check it out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bU1Yau9K9YQ . It was tough trying to find our song.  We wanted something definitely not over used, something with a good feel, and something that explains US.  Who knows when we’ll get married, since he is in BUD/s right now, but we are now one step closer.

I have some really good friends coming into town tomorrow; actually it is J’s best friend (who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year, almost exactly a year ago).  They were supposed to come into town today, but they had some car issues (road trip from Minnesota where he is getting his chemo treatment) and will be coming into town tomorrow, which will be a crazy, super busy day (more so than today, today is just prep).  Not only do I need to work extra today, since I wont be working much tomorrow.  I also have a pretty important (to me) audition tomorrow that I need to study for today, a ton of cleaning to do AND I get to pick up my dream books today and start to figure out what my crazy dreams mean (but of course I am sure I wont be doing that until Friday, since I will be too busy until then).

I also have to run to the grocery store, you cannot have guests without having a ton of good food ready for them, right?!  All I want to do is go for a run today and stretch (Mr. Hayes class totally got me), but there will probably not be time for a run with everything that needs to get done.

Off to accomplish a large list of tasks.

James Morrison

James Morrison is such a great artist, isn't he? I've been making a list of 'wedding music' since January (when we got engaged) and I have that song as well as 'Precious Love', also by JM, on my list. I'm a little OCD and I've been making note of every song I want as Pre-Wedding, Walk, Cocktail Hour, Dinner, Dancing, etc Music.... It's music I hope to go back and listen to at least on every anniversary and just enjoy the memories. Music makes everything better :) Have fun making your wedding list! Let me know if you want any suggestions when you guys are getting closer to your wedding!

Thanks Joleen!

Thanks Joleen! I have been checking out songs as well... it's hard to find something that you like, that fits you, but is not over used...

There's also this amazing website to where you can write to them and tell them your story, phrases or words that you two use a lot, etc and they will come up with a song or CD just for you.  You can even choose the type of music: rock, country, etc.  I heard one of their songs, I was actually impressed.

When are you getting married?

Sorry for the delayed response...

Sorry, I'm not too familiar with blogging and I just now noticed you wrote back to my comment :(

We're getting married on October 9th.

Thanks for the website suggestion, it sounds pretty neat. If I find some time between wedding planning I'll definitely have to look more into this.

Have fun with J after Hell Week :)
