Bikini Photoshoot
This week has been one crazy week. Spending time in San Diego with my best friend makes me never want to go back to my little studio in North Hollywood. On Friday my best friend and I set up a photoshoot with a photographer who will be taking pictures of The World Bikini Football League Southern California division tryouts on Saturday, August 15th in San Diego. We wanted to meet with him before hand and do a test shoot to make sure he would be right for the girls once we figure out who shall be on our SoCal teams.
We met up with him and his friend – they did a co-shoot on Friday at around 5pm (but of course we were running late thanks to traffic and our crazy Friday morning, including getting her dog Foxy groomed, shopping for groceries for J after Hell Week and running some last minute errands before the shoot). Christine and I happened to find a semi-empty part of Wind and Sea Beach where the photographers met us. Earlier in the week Christine and I had chosen an outfit to wear (matching), which we were supposed to shoot with another photographer on Wednesday, which was pushed back to Thursday due to supposed food poisoning, which was then cancelled by the photographer because of something to do with custody of his children – whatever, his loss. So, we took that outfit and we chose to use it to shoot with first at our Friday photoshoot to warm us up with the photographers, plus, how can you waste such an awesome heel, skirt, bra and hat sexy outfit?
We had just finished up with that first outfit when the sun became almost perfect for our bikini shots. We quickly changed into our bikinis and split up with the photographers to do one on one shots. The older photographer made me feel uncomfortable (not cool), so my shots with him felt stiff, he made me feel like I had no clue in the hell what I was doing, which I did. The other photographer, the one that we actually booked for this shoot was awesome! I felt completely comfortable around him and everything was just fine! Christine and I did some amazing individual bikini shots with each photographer and then we moved into some action shots with the football, and since the light was just right (golden hour), we had some absolutely beautiful action shots of Christine throwing the football and me blocking, etc.
Next – water time, my favorite! We split up once more and I made sure to take the photographer that I felt comfortable with first. I had a blast playing in the water with him, and then we switched and once again, I felt stiff and uncomfortable with the older photographer. Luckily, our light was almost gone and he said we did all we could do – yes, I was finished with this lame ass! I quickly ran over to Christine and we did some awesome fun, flirty shots together with the water splashing up on us, knocking us over, getting our hair wet, etc. It was such a blast! We decided that we would for sure use this photographer to shoot the girls that make it on the SoCal TWBFL division.
With sand in every single part of our body imaginable, Christine and I tried to dry off and rub off as much sand as possible before changing into our normal clothing. We were starving and had our eye on a bar up the street that we had snuck into earlier to use their restroom. Still covered in a light dust of sand that seemed to be glued on us, we walked into the bar, makeup still surprisingly perfect, hair in an up-do and ordered some dinner and drinks. What a perfect end to a perfect day and photoshoot!
