I was just hired on full time as a Studio Manager at a casting studio (perfect timing as I believe my other job may be ending in the near future, not by my choice) and as soon as all of my friends and family found out, they questioned if it would still be possible for me to act while working full time.  I, luckily have a boss who is in the industry and super easy to work with (actually several of my last bosses were like that: Grant, Heather and Bob were all super nice and flexible).  My boss had even mentioned that he wanted to keep my hours flexible just in case I had an audition, etc.  I was thankful he said that, but I haven’t been taking time off for auditions, I’ve been taking time off for family which I have realized to me is more important lately than anything.

BelieveBelieveLife has been looking up the last few weeks and it’s nice.  I believe everything happens for a reason and I also believe that being a hard worker will pay off.  I come from a family of hard workers, both my mom and dad are work-a-holics, my grandpa and my brothers too.  I started out going to a casting director workshop, letting them know I was interested in casting and helping out, they then asked me to be an intern (after reading for them a few times) and that led to being an assistant for Space Station, which now will soon be a full time position with possibly even my own office and flexibility for auditions.  I must say that I have been pretty blessed with work and finding good, yet flexible jobs.

Space StationSpace StationI just started a new part time job to help bring in some extra income (since my main job limited my pay) as well as meet people within the entertainment industry.  I am now the assistant at Space Station Studios, which is attached to Dream Big Casting (to where I still intern with casting agents Sherrie Henderson and Dan Velez).  I just started on Wednesday, but so far I love it!  My boss is extremely cool (I was even late to work by 20 minutes – which btw NEVER happens, I am ALWAYS early) and he didn’t mind as long as it did not happen when I opened up the office on my own, and it won’t.
